Sister Donna Santoro is a 29 year member who was employed for over ten years at a Long Island Bus company where she served as chief shop steward.
As an active Steward, she was strong and passionate about the working conditions of those members she represented. During the Trusteeship hearings in 1993, she stood out amidst the crowd and was recognized by International Trustees. Shortly after Sister Santoro was appointed as a Trustee to the Health and Welfare and Pension Funds and then placed as a Business agent that December. She has served in these positions for over 22 years as well as the position of Recording- Secretary since 1995.
Sister Santoro enjoys the diversity of her duties and the large amount of members she serves on a daily basis. Her practical experience is further strengthened by the continuous education she attains from attending seminars, conferences, conventions and labor law orientated college courses.
